Jerseyville, Ancaster - Basement
This was a challenging project as this space had been modified multiple times over the years.
Originally was a tight, closed entryway with closets and doors (no natural light and small) removing the walls opened the space right up to introduce the windows to the front entry.
One of the big challenges was providing a stair system in a space that didn’t really allow for one. With lots of calculations we were able to come up with a perfect solution.
The basement below was a neglected space which became a storage dumping ground. The trigger for starting this project was the mold growing behind the walls, completely stripping the basement we started from scratch, moving a few key services we gained full ceiling height throughout most of the space and bringing the engineered hardwood really warmed up the space making it feel less like a basement space.
