This project started with the need for some more bedrooms in the basement as they were moving into a new home that didn’t quite suit their family needs.
What was one large space is now cut up into two generous bedrooms each with a large closet and a sizable common space. We also added a shower to an existing 2 piece bathroom. Moving to the main floor a solution for an old ugly “popcorn” ceiling was requested as well as better lighting distribution.
A rustic v-match wood ceiling allowed us to place pot lights where ever needed and stained beams to match really brought this space alive. To match we created a very heavy authentic replica barn door to create some privacy for a getaway space or to block away the household noise from the dining table. And finally after a couple years living in the house and knowing what they really wanted, we provided a beautiful new kitchen with loads of working space and plenty of seating.
